Aims

The course gives detailed theory and practical knowledge of the safe entry to confined spaces, including the use of Escape Breathing Apparatus and Portable Gas Detection

• Legislation awareness
• Hazards and risk assessment
• Safe systems of work
• Entry and emergency procedures
• Use of safety equipment

 

Participation

All courses are run totally in English. Delegates are therefore required to have an English language proficiency that will enable them to participate fully and meaningfully in the course. Written examinations are necessary on all of the courses, please contact us if any delegates have any difficulties with written examinations e.g. dyslexia.

Medical

Delegates attending any course, which involves the wearing of breathing apparatus during practical training at our premises, must be physically fit to participate. It may be prudent to have him/her medically examined by a doctor to ensure the level of fitness is appropriate to a course involving physical exertion and the wearing of breathing apparatus. The training provider must be notified if any delegates have existing physical or mental condition, which might preclude them from safely participating in practical training.
