PASMA
Standard Course Mobile Access Tower Operator Training
For anyone in your organisation who use, erect, move and dismantle
Alloy or Fibreglass Mobile Access Towers. All delegates must
be at least 18 years of age.
The
New Working at Height Regulations 2005 and the Construction
(Health, Safety & Welfare) Regulations 1996, require that
the installation or erection of Mobile Access Scaffold Towers
should only be carried out by, or under the supervision of,
a competent person. Such a person is someone considered to
have the training, technical knowledge or experience as may
be appropriate having regard to the nature of the activity.
PASMA therefore sponsors training courses provided only by
authorised registered training members.
The
training course is based on a format and content agreed by
all PASMA members and draws upon their collective, first-hand
experience. Widely recognised and recommended by safety professionals,
it provides successful delegates who pass a written and practical
test with a competency certificate and a photo ID card. The
training provider’s PASMA Course content, instructors
and
training premises are subject to a rigorous assessment to
ensure compliance with PASMA standards. After approval, all
Registered Training Centres are subject to an ongoing audit
regime conducted by the Training Scheme Auditor to ensure
that they continue to meet the high standards demanded by
PASMA.
