
Aims
The
Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999
requires employers to conduct suitable and sufficient risk
assessments. The Level 2 Certificate in Risk Assessment provides
formal recognition of an individual’s ability to undertake
such a risk assessment in line with the Health & Safety
Executive’s Five Steps to Risk Assessment. Accredited
by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) at Level
2 in the National Qualifications Framework.

• Proposing additional control measures
• Applying the Hierarchy of controls
• Revising a Risk Rating
• Recording the findings of a Risk Assessment
• Making recommendations based on the findings
• Reviewing and revising a Risk Assessment

This
course culminates with practical and theoretical examinations
and candidates must pass this in order to gain certification
On
site training will include a simulated assessment session
in a realistic working environment once the paperwork is received
from the HSE before sending back to them for final certification.
